What’s Wrong With You??? :)

Did you see what I did there? I asked something rude, but I added a smiley face, so that means that it’s not offensive. That’s something that has been happening a lot to me the past 5 years. As some of you may know, I have nerve damage and lumbar spondylosis. Which pretty much means that I’m in pain 99.999% of the time.  It’s pretty expensive too, I got dropped from Insurance a few months back. Which makes it all the more expensive. I have to pay $75 just to step foot in the office.

Speaking of my Neurologist, we have some big plans when I get back on insurance. We are going to schedule an MRI, then go to a surgeon to get a second opinion. I saw a surgeon about 4 years ago, but they didn’t want to do surgery. Now I’m pretty sure my back is doing worse. Plus, I’m getting weaker so something has to be done. The pain is starting to become unbearable.

Reborn dolls

Hi guys,

I just received my first custom reborn doll.  She's the Arianna kit by Reva Schick, and was made by Kimberli Wingard of Angel Baby Maker Nursery.  She was not cheap by any means, but she was definitely worth it!    Since she was a custom I got to pick out her details; skin tone, eye color, and hair color.  It took me about three months to get her paid off.   I did a box opening of her on my YouTube Channel.  I named her Mabelynn, I haven't decided on a middle name yet.  

Christmas 2014

Happy 2015!  I hope everybody survived and had a wonderful Holiday season.  This past year really went by so fast, so much has changed this past year.  The goals for the new year is to get a new job, one which doesn't treat me like total shit.  (That would be nice!)  I'm also hoping to close on my house soon,  my original closing date was November 1st, so this is being a long drawn out process.

Just like last year I made a video from our Christmas.  It was really short since I had to use my phone.

Job Search and Subscription boxes

Hi guys,

I know that it has been a long while since I've written.  I hope to have a new job soon, I've been sending my resume out frequently.  I've only had one phone interview so far, I'm hoping that they call this week for an in person interview.

If you've been following my YouTube channel, you'll notice that I've been doing a lot of unboxing as of late.  I've mainly been doing Loot Crate and Nerd Block.  I only have a couple of Loot Crate's left, I'm thinking of getting the 1 Up box instead.  All of these are gaming, nerdy, and geeky things. Which  I love!!!  I've always been a closet nerd, at least I thought I was being secretive, so these products are wonderful for me.   Here's an example of one of my unboxings!

Finally Finished and Just Getting Started!

Hi guys,

I'm excited to write that my last day of classes was on September 7, I also just got my grades back and I got A's in my final two classes.  I've been in talks with a career counselor, and I hope to get a new job really soon.  As my current job, is becoming a horrible place to work at.  There are some monetization stuff that I'm trying on YouTube, which is working out okay.  Click here to view my channel!  Warning, it's has a hog posh of different topics on it.

I'm also taking into reborning dolls, I have one that was poorly made.  I'd like to fix him, but his rooting is horrible and the body is the wrong size, so it might be more feasible to start completely over with him.  I'm sure I can sell him to a younger collector for what I paid for him.  I do have the Libby kit by Cindy Musgrove that I'm really eager to get started on.  She's going to be approximately 3 month old size.  I just need to get the genesis paints and counter top over than I've got everything I need to get started on her.  I'll probably be documenting her process.  This is very therapeutic for my biological clock, lol!  I'm going to attach a photo of her prototype, so you can see what she might look like when done.  Every reborn is one of a kind, since all artist have different taste and what she likes in a baby.

Diapers, Diapers, Diapers!!!!

Hey guys,

I've been really busy with work, I have to work every single weekend and three to four days during the week.  I'm also nearing the very end of my college career.  In a week or two I'll confirm my completion date.  I'm so excited!!


Now to the main point of my blog, it's getting pretty close to baby shower season.  At least for me, lol!  I actually have one this weekend, so I thought that I would compose a video of some of my creations from the past year.  Enjoy!

College

Hey guys,

It's been a really long time since I wrote an entry into my blog.  I've just been really busy with work and school.  To get more grant money, I had to go from a part time student to a full time one.  I'm also supposed to graduate in September, which isn't too far away!

In other news I've been adventuring into some other things. I'll share in the very near future, those on FB already know what most of it is.  If you're following me on YouTube or deviantart, I've recently updated those as well.

Christmas 2013 (Re written)

Happy New Year everybody! I can't believe that it's already 2014, what a year it was!  That's not the focus of this journal, but I will make one for it really soon.

I hope everybody had a joyous holiday season.  I had to work for Christmas. It was the busiest day I've ever worked, but looking back it was really neat to meet my residents families.  

I celebrated Christmas with my mom, sister and brother in law on Christmas Eve.  We had a lot of fun playing games, eating, and opening up presents.  I ended up getting some random clips through out the night.   Enjoy!

Oh my!!!

I can't believe that it's only NINE days until Christmas!  Where does the time go?  What are you guys doing for the holidays?  I'm not doing much.  I guess that I'm visiting some family on Sunday and I think some on Christmas Eve with my sister.   I do have to work on Christmas, which wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't told that I would have Christmas off.  Oh, well!

Thanksgiving 2013

I know that this is really late, but I did upload this to YouTube a week or so ago.  We didn't really get to do much since I had to work.  Working holidays isn't that bad, but at the same time it's a little bit sad.

Vine

Since I've gotten my iPhone a month or so ago, I've been enjoying new apps.  One of those have been Vine.  I've heard of it before, but I never thought that it would be something that I would actually use.   A friend shared a Vine video from a "Best of Vines" Facebook page, then I was hooked.  I probably spent over an hour watching videos and literally laughing my ass off.


I initially thought that Vine would be stupid home video's, but now I know that its much more. I downloaded it a month or so ago, and I must say that I quite enjoy watching and creating videos/ vines.  You can search me on vine, my username is Kaelancer.

Snow?

Yes, this past week we had snow here in Kansas, it wasn't a blizzard or anything like that.  It did stick for a few hours.  I did make a couple short video's on my iPad.  I must say that I'm impressed that my voice sounds female in these.  (I think that I usually sound like a 40 year old man!)

October 4th

Today is October 4, I can't believe that September has already sped through.  I finished my Digital Design class a week ago, I got an A-!  Now it's on to Typography,  I'm really looking forward to this class, but I feel like it's going to be really hard.  At least this first week is a little overwhelming.

In other news, I accidentally dropped my phone, it's a LG Cosmos Touch.  It's not a smart phone, but still I don't have quite enough money raised to get the phone I do want to get.  It's not the end of the world, it still is functional and my upgrade will still be here in a month or so.

Hello, and happy Monday.

 Today I went to the doctor to hear that they can't do anything for me, money well spent! (for those who can't tell that was sarcasm) Although, I did get a refill on my muscle relaxer.

 Lately I've been wanting to do something more productive during my spare time, besides YouTube and Pinterest. So, I've been working more on my diaper cakes and creations. I really do enjoy it. Luckily, for me, it doesn't have to be that expensive since I know how to coupon and use clearance racks. I got lucky and the Carters outlet close to where I live were having big sales, door busters, and were having 25% off stuff already on clearance. I was able to get a big bag of stuff for less than $20, it would've easily been over $100 if it weren't for the great deals.

What's UP?

No, I was not talking about that delightful movie that Disney/ Pixar made a few years back.  (I can't remember if it was Disney or Pixar, so I combined them)  Anyway UP! was a great movie, though terribly sad in the beginning.  I loved it!  What are your thoughts?  Already we are way off topic!


I had five days off last week, love having PTO, you know what I did?  Yep, not much.  I just got some much needed rest and got a lot of Christmas shopping done.

For Labor Day weekend my family got together and had a BBQ and played card games.  i.e. Apples to Apples.  My sister and brother in law got new phones and were showing my mom how awesome the cameras are on them.


Today I'm going to an emergency trip to the doctor's. Maybe we'll get some answers, but I'm thinking not. I'm also half way through my digital design class!

August 3rd

Hey, guys!


I know it's been about a month since I've updated.  I've had a lot of things come up this month.

First of all, I've been having some back problems.  I went to the clinic and got some pain pills and muscle relaxer.  I'm feeling quite a bit better, but I still have to do physical therapy.  I'm hoping to start PT this week.  I go back to the doctor at the end of this month, hopefully I'll get some good news.

Second,  I've started my illustrating class.  It's been enjoyable, they've had us do most of our work in Adobe Illustrator, which I need more practice in.  The only badish thing is that I'm not sure that I like my teacher, sometimes he's nice and other times he can be a dick.    Oh, and I also got to use my drawing tablet in last nights assignment.  Below is a sample of what I've been working on.


I've also came up with an idea for my other blog,  "kids of the past."  So, I'm hoping to get that blog updated as well.

My car

Oh, I'm just so frustrated with my car.  It's a 2001 Chevy Malibu and just isn't starting anymore.

A little bit of back story:  I  bought it about 3 years ago for 3,000 for Credit King.  It started out great, then about 6mos later it started to think that I was stealing the car. It was really annoying then my grandpa showed me how to trick it into letting me start it.   Now that battery is draining and nobody knows what's causing it.  This has happened 3 times the past two months.  It's getting very annoying.

My grandpa and uncle have worked so hard on it and spent a lot of money that now it feels like it's a money pit.  It just doesn't make sense to me to put any more money into it.  I'd really like to just sell it or scrap it to get some more money to put down on a new(er) car.  I'm not sure what to do.  What would you do?

Making some changes

Hey guys!

I've been really busy at work and started college Algebra last week, so unfortunately I haven't been able to do daily journals.  Which now that I'm thinking about it may be a good thing.  I think that my daily life might be boring.  I'm thinking about changing my format to write blogs just when I do something really interesting.  I'll probably still do a weekly blog with what I did day to day every once in a while.

This past week at work I trained a new girl at work.  She called in sick on her first day (monday), which sort've ruined my plans to leave her by herself for 20 minutes on tuesday to go to a dementia discussion group.  She's doing okay, but on friday she messed up pretty bad on the lunch drinks.  Some of the residents haven't warmed up to her yet, and the want me in the dining room all the time.  Then she talked about finishing her CNA, so I'm not sure she'll stay in dietary very long.

I also helped my grandma install an Evenflo Maestro in her car for her granddaughter.  I felt like I almost broke my back!  I wish that I took a picture :(

I get sent home from work on Saturday because I got sick.  I wish that I didn't get sick because we get pay differential  on the weekends.  Oh, well.  I slept until 5:30pm and felt much better.  I went to work on Sunday, then I finally got to go to the dementia discussion group.

Also, on Saturday was the baby shower that my mom and sister was hosting for their friend.  I guess my diaper bottles and diaper cake were a hit.  <3

April 15- April 21

April 15-  (Monday) Today I was in the dish room.  I basically did the same thing that I did last friday.  We did try out a new menu today at lunch.  It was very chaotic! We really do need a couple more people in the kitchen at lunch time.  I also stabbed my hand, I didn't realize I did it until later.
I made a 3D model of my template I made in my last assignment.  It was a lot harder than I expected, but I was the second person to hand it in.  Go figure!  Today was a very boring day.

April 16- (Tuesday)  Today I was the dietary aide in the main dining room, nothing out of the ordinary happened.  My residents were awesome!
After getting home from work I watched a really low budget movie about Slender Man.  It was corny, the acting was horrible, but it was still very creepy.  It's on YouTube, I'll post the video down below in this post.  I also had to reformat my homework from last night and answer a couple of questions.  So yeah, it has been a real productive day!

April 17- (Wednesday) Today was crazy at work.  I had to set up two parties and help at the main dining room at lunch.  The person doing dishes was in a bad mood.  I, personally, don't think that he likes being a hostess.  I got off at 3:30 and got home a little before 4.  I only had two critiques to write tonight for homework, it didn't take me very long.  I also heard that Even Stevens is going to be on the Disney Channel tonight at midnight.  I'm going to check it out!
UPDATE: Even Stevens was on, but at 11pm;  I only caught the last 3 minutes :(  I'll try to catch it next   week!

April 18- (Thursday)  Today was my Saturday.  I did accomplish getting very little done around the house and ran a few errands.  I don't have any homework due tonight, so I spent most of the night updating my DeviantArt account.
Well, I don't know if this is TMI.  I got myself measured for a bra, and I'm a 38 DD. (HOLY COW)  I knew they were large, but not that big.
I'm a former CPST, I'm going to renew my certification soon.  I acquired a new demo seat.  It's an Evenflo Discovery 5 and has a recall.  I'm going to use it for demonstrations and for display, so no real child will be riding in it.  I do have a little car seat addiction/ problem, lol!

April 19-  (Friday)  Today I went to Target and bought a new bra.  I still need to get a few more, since all my other ones are a cup size too small, lol.  I also browsed  the book section there.  This is probably going to sound really dumb, but I really want to read the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series.
I also had to do some designing for class, I had a lot of fun with it.  My project is coming along nicely.  Maybe I'll start posting my progress on it.  On a side note:  I need to get Microsoft Office for my iMac, it is a necessity for school.  (I do have it on my Acer)

April 20- (Saturday)  Work went really well today.  I stayed caught up on dishes and the nurses were in good moods.  I hope tomorrow goes just as smooth.
I took a hilarious video of my mom tonight.  I uploaded it to YouTube, I'll be sure to embed it below.  My moms boyfriend made us a good and healthy dinner.  We had beef and mushrooms, fresh green beans, and cucumber salad.
A family friend is having a baby shower in a couple of weeks, I looked up her registry, and she registered for size 7 diapers.  She said that she wasn't paying attention, and said that it was just to tell people that she needed diaper.  Well, being the troll I am, I bought the size 7 Pampers.  You can only get them at Babies 'R Us, so I made a special trip after work.  :)

April 21-  (Sunday)  Once again work went really smoothly, that rarely happens to have the whole weekend go like that.
My birthday is April 26, but we kinda celebrated today.  We went shopping at ross, I got a few clothes. Then we went to IHop for lunch.  Just a great day!!!

April 9th- April 14th

April 9th-  I had of work today.  I actually did get some things done.  I finished making a diaper cake for a friend of my sister.  It turned out really nice.  As some of you know I live in Kansas and the weather is being crazy! The day started out really nice, it got up to 75 degrees.  Then in the evening it is icing and freezing outside!  Tomorrow I go back to work for the week.

April 10th-  Today I was the "kitchen helper" at work.  Nothing real exciting happened.  Despite the very icy, the roads were pretty much clear, so I wasn't late to work.
My dad died almost 3 years ago, my mom and I spent most of the evening looking for one of the emblems of his race car.  We are finally getting him a tombstone.  Today was just a boring day.  I'm hoping tomorrow is more eventful.  :)

April 11th-  Today I got up at 3:45am to get ready for work.  I actually had a great day.  My residents were all in great moods.  We exchanged stories, laughed, joked, and smiled.
I started week 4 in my concept development class,  I'm not sure I understand my assignment that is due tomorrow.
My sister came over tonight.  We went through some old photographs, and the memories flooded back. Especially our birthdays and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Now I'm getting ready to fall asleep.

April 12th-  Today I worked in the dish room for most of my 8 hours.  During lunchtime I was a hostess, which I like doing.  It's fun to interact with the residents without interruptions.  I even got one resident who was crying to cheer up.  I don't like seeing her so upset. :(
I had homework tonight, for concept development.  We had to draw up a template for a counter top, POP, display.  I never done anything like that before,  I'm nervous that I did it wrong.  I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

April 13th-  Happy Saturday!  This is my weekend off,  I honestly didn't do much.  I woke up at 5:30am because I forgot to turn off my darn alarm clock.  Then at about 8am I went back to sleep until 11:30 am, oops!  Since I basically had a lazy day, I played Super Mario 64 DS.  I really do enjoy that game even though I'm horrible at it.
I forgot to upload part of my homework last night, so I did achieve doing that.  I'm attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, online division.  I was tired of basically living paycheck to paycheck.  I'd like to be successful and be able to retire when the time comes.

April 14th-  I have to go back to work tomorrow.  Today I went shopping in Maize, KS.  I went to Target and Michaels.  I bought a dress at Target.  I don't normally wear dresses, but it was so cute.  I do need to purchase a black bra if I'm going to wear it in public, my white bra shows through.  (TMI, possibly?)  I just bought some random art supplies at Michaels, and I managed to spend a little under $6!
OMG!  I just downloaded Slender Man on my iPad,  he caught me before I got the first page.  I nearly pissed my pants, and promptly deleted it!  I'm a wuss, I admit it.
